Here are some examples of the work done on behalf of the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank, referenced in my resume and cover letter.

2024-2025 Online Report: Social Safety Net Under Attack (online version)
The mail version of this report was sent to current/former PMSC-FB donors, volunteers, and other supporters. This project focuses on the challenges faced by the nutrition programs of the agency, gives some organizational updates, and also gets folks ready for the year-end fundraising activities. This report will be followed up by the 2025 year-end appeal which will hit mailboxes in late November, seeking donations and encouraging people to attend our PMSC-FB's fundraiser.

Additional resources:
- PDF of print/mail version of report
- PDF of the thank-you card for this campaign (The thank you card is almost as important as the ask!)

Video: A Look Back and a Look Ahead

I work with a videographer to produce videos to give people a sense of what life is like at the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank and let our excellent staff present their work. These videos are often shown at fundraising events in lieu of a client testimonial. I produce a video every year, but the one linked above is the most inspired.

2024 year-end fundraising campaign materials
- Letter
- Envelope
- Email version 1
- Email version 2
These year-end campaigns feature almost all of my fundraising strategies in one place. I blend program data with ethical storytelling to appeal to peoples' heads and hearts. In addition to the writing and art direction, I work with a mailing house to purchase a bulk mail list with about 30,000 select households (income level, zip codes). That list is bundled with lapsed and small amount donors, who receive the letter printed and sent by the mailing house. Our top donors receive a version of the letter with a first class stamp and some personalization. This project takes months to plan and produce. After the mailing has reached mailboxes, I send email versions to make sure folks get the message. A thank you note is produced concurrently with the letter so that we are ready to acknowledge gifts promptly. This project grossed over $83,000 and netted $54,400. In 2025, my plan is to produce more small mailings. I'll bypass the large purchased mailing list and work on developing our current supporters while using events to attract new people.

2025 funding proposal to the Pike Place Market Foundation
- Proposal

This proposal combines descriptions of the many programs offered at the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank, while weaving in program data, finances, and the agency outlook for the year. With so much information synthesized in one place, this proposal is also used to keep the staff and board of the agency up to date.
